1988 - The Foundation for Advertising Education was created to improve advertising education.
Through faculty and institution grants, student scholarships, and funding for college-level competitions, the Foundation supports superior academic and practical opportunities that transform bright students into brilliant creative thinkers.
The Foundation for Advertising Education is affiliated with the Tenth District of the American Advertising Federation and supported by members of the Tenth District and the public to assist the future of our industry.
As professionals in this industry, you know very well that practical experience is an invaluable counterpart to classroom learning.
The Foundation for Advertising Education was created in 1988 to improve the quality of advertising education in the Southwest.
The American Advertising Federation - Tenth District supports the success of ad clubs in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas where local ad clubs sponsor a variety of programs, including meetings featuring industry-related speakers, professional development workshops, educational seminars, scholarships, public service initiatives, social events and local award competitions recognizing excellence in advertising.
Through their affiliation with AAF National, local ad clubs have an even more powerful voice and influence in their local business communities. Each of the local ad clubs is part of AAF's network comprising 40,000 professionals in all corners of the United States.
GROWING CREATIVE MINDS - The next generation of industry innovators is learning the advertising profession today. The Foundation for Advertising Education was created in 1988 to improve the quality of advertising education in the Southwest. Through faculty and institution grants, student scholarships, and funding for college-level competitions, the Foundation supports superior academic and practical opportunities that transform bright students into brilliant creative thinkers.
SUPPORTING THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE - Practical experience is an invaluable counterpart to classroom learning. Each year, the AAF’s National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) provides college advertising students with an opportunity to practice what they’ve learned as they develop a strategic advertising/marketing campaign for a corporate sponsor. The Foundation’s Advertising Education Sponsor program and its Tomorrow Fund support this challenging competition.

The Foundation for Advertising Education of the Southwest 10th District – American Advertising Federation is a non-profit corporation organized under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act. As a 501(c)3, contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. No grants or loans shall be made to any Trustee of the Foundation or members of their families.
I believe that as professionals, we not only have a responsibility to support educational opportunities for young people but also a responsibility to give something back to our chosen profession. The Foundation is a wonderful and effective way to do both. Whether you want to help students or support advertising research and continuing education for faculty, the Foundation is the perfect vehicle. We can honor or memorialize people or companies while helping NSAC teams and advertising programs throughout the District.
